Ecc 12 DEATH
Wednesday, November 11, 2020.

Ecc 12:6,7

Remember him: the Bible teaches that man is appointed to die, then face God’s judgment Heb 9:27. It will be too late after this to change your eternal destiny. Today, is your opportunity to receive salvation for no one is guaranteed a tomorrow 2 Co 6:2.

—before the silver cord is severed, and the golden bowl is broken; before the pitcher is shattered at the spring, and the wheel broken at the well: the day you die ends any further opportunity of receiving God’s grace  Jn 8:24.

and the dust returns to the ground it came from, and the spirit returns to God who gave it: when your spirit goes back to God who created you, He will then administer justice. It will either be a glorious time for those who believed on Jesus and His finished work at the Cross or it will be a sullen time of eternal punishment Rev 20:10,15.

Ecc 11 MAKER OF ALL THINGS
Tuesday, November 10, 2020

Ecc 11:5

As you do not know the path of the wind: Jesus told Nicodemus that the wind blows wherever it pleases Jn 3:8. Spiritually, when the Holy Spirit moves and touches a person’s life, that individual is changed into a new creature 2 Co 5:17. You don’t physically see the Holy Spirit at work but you can observe the transformation He makes in the new believer’s life.

or how the body is formed in a mother’s womb: scientists have discerned much about the formation of a baby but still could never duplicate God’s work from scratch. Where did the breath of life come from? From God Himself Jn 11:25.

so you cannot understand the work of God, the Maker of all things: only God can create from nothing Gen 1:2,3. We will never discover how He creates from non-existence, since the secret things belong to God alone Dt 29:29. Yet, in His kindness, He has filled us with joy, by granting us wisdom to create also, but only from His created materials.

Ecc 10 WISDOM
Monday, November 9, 2020.

Ecc 10:10

If the ax is dull and its edge unsharpened, more strength is needed: a little forethought to keep one’s ax edge sharp would save much energy.

but skill will bring success: likewise preparation in developing suitable skills for a career or ministry will strengthen the possibility of success. A university degree may require four additional years of education but can provide a much better career and overall prosperous lifestyle.

Spiritually, studying the Bible  daily will provide a deeper relationship with the Lord and a better opportunity to further His kingdom. The five wise virgins were prepared ahead of time so when the call rang out that the bridegroom was coming they were ready Mt 25:6,7.

Ecc 9 GIVE YOUR BEST
Sunday, November 8, 2020.

Ecc 9:10

Whatever your hand finds to do, do it with all your might: We all have been given a set amount of time to live on this earth, which we cannot extend Ps 139:16; Job 14:5. We must use our time wisely and as Tang sings: “Give Him your best as you play your part.” God encourages us to store up riches in heaven Mt 6:19,20,21.
for in the realm of the dead, where you are going, there is neither working nor planning nor knowledge nor wisdom: the Bible teaches that we will die then face the judgment of God Heb 9:27. However, Jesus also taught that there was a way of escaping the judgment by believing on Him Jn 5:24.

Ecc 8 GOD’S SOVEREIGNTY
Saturday, November 7, 2020.

Ecc 8:4
Since a king’s word is supreme, who can say to him, “What are you doing?”: God is sovereign and His creation should not resist His will. We were created for God’s pleasure Col 1:16, to serve and love Him Lk 4:8. He has granted marriage to teach us what our relationship with Him should exhibit. A wife is a husband’s helpmate Gen 2:18, submissive to him 1 Co 11:3, to fulfill the family’s greater goals. In the same way, we have been promised to Christ, our future husband to be a pure virgin 2 Co 11:2 without stain or wrinkle, holy and blameless Eph 5:27. Rebellion is from Satan, who was the first to resist God and was cast out of heaven Rev 12:7,8,9. A place of eternal torment has been prepared for Satan and his followers Rev 20:10,15.

Ecc 7 WAITING ON GOD
Friday, November 6, 2020.

 Ecc 7:8

The end of a matter is better than its beginning: God promises to work all things out for the good of those who love Him Ro 8:28. So, no matter how bleak our circumstances appear, if we trust God He will be faithful to His word.
and patience is better than pride: what is required is patience when our sense of deadline is not in line with God’s timing 2 Pe 3:8. If we are prideful, we will take matters into our own hands to change the circumstances through our human ingenuity. When we fight against God’s will, the end result will not be a positive one.

I WILL WAIT

Ecc 6 CONTENTMENT
Thursday, November 5, 2020.

Ecc 6:9

Better what the eye sees than the roving of the appetite: contentment is being satisfied in what we have not what we desire Php 4:11. Jesus promised to meet all our needs Php 4:19, so trusting God fosters contentment. Our material possessions are only temporal but our good deeds will be stored in eternity Mt 6:20. True riches are found in relationships not material possessions. The ultimate relationship is with our Lord, who desires to know us intimately Rev 3:20. Our reward will be to live with God forever Rev 21:3.

Ecc 5 GLADNESS OF HEART
Wednesday, November 4, 2020.

Ecc 5:20

They seldom reflect on the days of their life, because God keeps them occupied with gladness of heart: many people are weighed down by the past and miss out on the present. A grateful heart to God is in continual amazement of His grace and has a perpetual heart of thanksgiving for the Lord’s gifts. The gift of sight, hearing, smelling, tasting, and touch. Marvelous gifts which we can use to explore our environment and be filled with awe. The natural world is full of beauty but the spiritual realm is even more intriguing. Here we have the opportunity to learn more about our Creator, His character and His love for us. Knowing that we have made Christ our Lord, who lives in us is mind boggling Gal 2:20.  We have the opportunity to commune with the greatest being in the universe any time of day or night and partake in His divine nature 2 Pe 1:3,4.

Ecc 4 GOD’S BOND
Tuesday, November 3, 2020.

Ecc 4:12

Though one may be overpowered, two can defend themselves: in the natural world, two have a better chance of survival if they support each other. God has created families with a natural instinct to provide for and to protect its members. The more kinfolk, the safer the family.
A cord of three strands is not quickly broken: In the spiritual realm, a husband and wife who rely on God have a strong bond that will prevent any kind of trial from separating the couple. Jesus proclaimed that a house divided could not stand Mk 3:25. There is a proverb that teaches the importance of strong bonds: “blood is thicker than water,” meaning family relationships are more enduring and sacrificial than friendship associations and thereby provide better security for its members. However, “the Spirit is thicker than blood,” which means God and His children have the deepest bond possible, even greater than family ties. The Lord will never leave or forsake us Heb 13:5 and will meet all of our needs Php 4:19.

IT’S YOU THAT WE ADORE

Ecc 3 BEAUTIFUL IN TIME
Monday, November 2, 2020.

Ecc 3:11

He has made everything beautiful in its time: not everything looks beautiful while in process but God knows what the final product will look like. We can get frustrated in our circumstances not understanding why God hasn’t intervened. The Lord’s purposes are often hidden Dt 29:29 and His timing questionable in our eyes 2 Pe 3:8, but He will complete the good work that He began Php 1:6. We need to exchange our impatience for trust in God.

The Lord has a sanctification plan for each believer also. By renewing our mind to the Word of God Ro 12:2, we are being transformed into the likeness of Christ in ever increasing splendor 2 Co 3:18. As we walk in the Spirit, we will see God’s plan unfold in our lives Jer 29:11. Perhaps you were born for such a time Est 4:14.

Ecc 2 LIFE WITHOUT GOD
Sunday, November 1, 2020.

Ecc 2:25

For without Him, who can eat or find enjoyment:
God is our provider. He fed the Israelites in the desert for forty years and He’ll meet all our needs too Php 4:19. He also fulfills our need for unconditional love Ro 8:38,39, ultimate worth Jn 1:12 and eternal purpose Eph 2:10.  By drawing near to God, our desires change from selfish to selfless and a new heart begins to pump power into a yearning to do His will rather than our will Mt 26:39. The Bible says: taste and see that the Lord is good Ps 34:8, and then take Him as your new life Gal 2:20. Turn your day from cloudy emptiness to rainbow fruitfulness.

Ecc 1 CHASING WIND
Saturday, October 31, 2020.

Ecc 1:14

I have seen all the things that are done under the sun; all of them are meaningless, a chasing after the wind: Many people spend their days chasing wind, temporal meaningless, empty pursuits that fade with time but more importantly are worthless in the eyes of God. He has prepared a plan for our lives Eph 2:10 which He expects us to acknowledge by repenting of our sinful ways and making Jesus, our new life Gal 2:20.  This is the only experience lived under the sun that has meaning and purpose. Our current existence is a prelude for the next one. How we choose now, will decide if we spend eternity with God Re 21:3 or separated from His presence Rev 20:12,15. Stop chasing windallow the real Wind to come and take residency inside of you, to transform your life and eternal destiny.

NEVER GOING BACK AGAIN
