The Trinity 101

Trinity 101 easily explained as (111)

The Bible teaches that there is only one true God.

…Before me no god was formed, nor will there be one after me. Isa 43:10

“This is what the Lord says—Israel’s King and Redeemer, the Lord Almighty:
I am the first and I am the last; apart from me there is no God.
Isa 44:6

The Bible also teaches that there are three Persons in that one God.

Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Mt 28:19

Notice it does not say in the “names” but “name” of the Father and the Son and of the Holy Spirit revealing that it is a composite or unified one, not an absolute numeric three names.

The Bible also teaches that the three Persons are distinct and separate persons.

As soon as Jesus was baptized, he went up out of the water. At that moment heaven was opened, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove and alighting on him. And a voice from heaven said, “This is my Son, whom I love; with him I am well pleased.” Mt 3:16,17

Jesus is coming out of the water, the Holy Spirit is descending down on Jesus, and the Father is speaking from heaven to the people demonstrating that the three are distinct and separate.

The Holy Trinity can be best understood if compared to three identical triplets with the same DNA. Each triplet will be distinct with his own personality due to epigenetic modification, but since they all came from the original zygote, all have identical DNA, making them truly one essence, yet three distinct and separate persons.

(1,1,1) = one set with three identical elements

or one God in essence existing as three distinct/separate persons.

The mathematical equation is not 1+1+1 = 1 or 1/3 + 1/3 + 1/3 = 1 but 1 x 1 x 1 = 1

Father in heaven (sky), Son came to earth (as our sacrifice), Holy Spirit (gives new life).

If you shine blue, red and green light at the same spot, it will be seen as white light.

HOLY TRINITY
LOVING FATHER, ARCHITECT OF ALL

FAITHFUL SON, AND BUILDER OF GOD’S GREAT HALL

YOU ARE THE MASTER, YOU ARE THE CRAFTSMAN

SUCH A TREASURE YOU BESTOWED

SENDING YOUR HOLY SPIRIT

TO GUIDE US WHEREVER WE GO

God the Father is the architect, the planner of all things. Heb 11:10; Heb 3:4 ESV; Eph 3:9 ESV.

Jesus is the actual builder of God’s house, the executor of the Father’s plan. Heb 3:3,6; Pr 8:30 NKJV; Jn 1:3; Col 1:16. Jesus built His spiritual house (church) Heb 3:6 through His death and resurrection.

Jesus asked God the Father to send His Holy Spirit Jn 14:16,17.

The Holy Spirit is the completer of the Father’s plan. He guides believers into all truth conforming them into the image of Christ. Jn 16:13; 2 Co 3:18; Php 1:6.

UNITED IN PURPOSE, DISTINCT IN PERSON

LOVING, MERCIFUL AND TRUE

THREE PERSONS IN ONE NATURE

A HOLY TRINITY ARE YOU

The Trinity is united in fulfilling the Father’s purpose to save mankind, yet each person has a distinct role (Father: plans/ Son: executes plan/ Holy Spirit completes plan).

Persons and nature are two different categories. Example: three identical triplets (each forms their own identity through epigenetics) but all three have the same identical DNA.

The three persons in the Godhead are distinct but yet one. Mt 28:19 It reads name (one) not names.

AUTHOR OF OUR SALVATION THROUGH GRACE

YOU SENT JESUS TO DIE IN OUR PLACE

THE LAMB THAT WAS SLAIN BEFORE THE WORLD BEGAN

OUT OF THE TWO YOU CREATED ONE MAN

RECONCILING BOTH THROUGH YOUR CROSS

FOR YOU ARE THE GOD THAT CAME TO SAVE THE LOST

The Father planned salvation Eph 3:10-12 through grace. We can not earn salvation, it is a gift Eph 2:8,9. Jesus is the satisfaction for all sin 1 Jn 2:1,2. God planned this from the creation of the world Rev 13:8; choosing both Jew and Gentile believers to become one body Eph 2:14,15,16.
CHORUS
HOLY SPIRIT YOU POUR YOUR OIL UPON OUR HEADS

WITH LOVING POWER YOU REVIVE SOULS THAT ONCE WERE DEAD

RENEWING OUR MINDS TO THE WORD OF CHRIST

TEACHING US TRUTH YOU PAID THE PRICE

AND THOUGH TODAY WE SEE A DIM REFLECTION

SOON WE WILL SEE YOUR COMPLETE PERFECTION

The Holy Spirit guides us into all truth with His anointing 1 Jn 2:20. God loved us even when we were sinners Ro 5:8. The Holy Spirit renews our minds with truth Ro 12:2. Right now on this side of eternity we don’t grasp God’s ways and methods but when we are raised to immortality we will know as we are known. 1 Co 13:12; 1 Co 15:53,54.
