Mal 4 JESUS RETURNS
Tuesday, July 27, 2021.
But for you who revere my name, the sun of righteousness will rise with healing in its rays. And you will go out and frolic like well-fed calves: Jesus will return and bring spiritual healing to His people. The people will rejoice as they have been set free and will experience prosperity and health.
Mal 3 TEST GOD
Monday, July 26, 2021.
Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse, that there may be food in my house. Test me in this,” says the Lord Almighty, “and see if I will not throw open the floodgates of heaven and pour out so much blessing that there will not be room enough to store it: God challenged the descendants of Jacob to be faithful in giving to meet the Temple needs and in return He would pour out blessings that would amaze everyone.
Application: When God places a burden on your heart to help someone, don’t worry about meeting your own needs as God promises that you won’t be able to outgive Him Lk 6:38.
Mal 2 GOD HATES DIVORCE
Sunday, July 25, 2021.
“The man who hates and divorces his wife,” says the Lord, the God of Israel, “does violence to the one he should protect,” says the Lord Almighty. So be on your guard, and do not be unfaithful: one purpose of marriage was for the man to provide protection for the weaker vessel. God provided protection for Israel because He is married to His people Jer 3:14. However, He will not accept unfaithfulness Mal 2:12 as Judah had turned to foreign gods Mal 2:11. He called for Judah to repent and be faithful.
Application: the Church is the bride of Christ and He will present her as spotless—holy and blameless Eph 5:27. Our duty is to respect our Lord by being faithful in all we do Eph 5:33.
Mal 1 DISHONORING GOD
Saturday, July 24, 2021.
When you offer blind animals for sacrifice, is that not wrong? When you sacrifice lame or diseased animals, is that not wrong? Try offering them to your governor! Would he be pleased with you? Would he accept you?” says the Lord Almighty: the priests were disrespecting God by offering defective sacrifices. God questioned what would happen if the governor was offered a defective animal? The priests knew they would be killed, yet they tried to get away with defective offerings to God.
Application: God loves us and we should demonstrate our gratitude for this amazing love by giving God our best in whatever we do Col 3:23.
