RAYS OF HOPE

WE TRAVEL THROUGH THIS LIFE
SOME HAVE PLENTY SOME HAVE NOT
BUT WE CAN MAKE IT BETTER
BY SHARING ALL WE GOT
SUCH A LITTLE GIFT
CAN MAKE THE CHILDREN DANCE AND SING
SUCH A LITTLE GIFT
BUT LOOK AT ALL THE HAPPINESS IT BRINGS

YOU CAN BE A RAY OF HOPE
DANCING IN THE SON’S LIGHT
COME AND BE A RAY OF HOPE
TURNING DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

WE RUN THROUGH ALL OUR DAYS
BUT THERE ARE SOME WHO GET LEFT BEHIND
LET US STOP AND TAKE THE TIME
TO SHARE THE STORY OF THEIR LIVES
VERY SIMPLE PLEASURES
LIKE A SACK OF MARKET BEANS
CAN BRIGHTEN LITTLE FACES
WITH AN ANGEL’S SMILE THAT BEAMS

COME AND BE A RAY OF HOPE
DANCING IN THE SON’S LIGHT
COME AND BE A RAY OF HOPE
TURNING DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

LATE AT NIGHT BY CANDLE LIGHT
A STORY CAN BE SHARED
AND WITH A GRATEFUL HEART
A YOUNG BOY LAYS DOWN HIS WEARY HEAD
BUT WHEN THE MORNING SUNLIGHT
RISES UP IN THE SKY OF BLUE
ALL THE BEAUTY OF THIS WONDROUS LAND
IS THERE TO WELCOME YOU

CHORUS ONE 2X

TURNING THE DARKNESS INTO LIGHT

Visiting Africa opened my eyes of how well off we are in North America, yet many in Africa are more grateful than we are, for the little they have. Jesus encouraged us to help the poor and even went on to say that when we do, we are doing it to Him Mt 25:40. Let us all be rays of hope to those less fortunate than us for Jesus’ sake, who gave His best for us Ro 5:6,7,8.
