HE’S THE LIGHT

IN THE BEGINNING THERE WAS DARKNESS
EMPTY AND VOID LIKE SO MANY LIVES
THEN GOD SAID LET THERE BE LIGHT
AND THE LIGHT WAS GOOD, SO HE MADE IT SHINE

FOR HE IS THE CREATOR
AND OUR RESCUE FROM THE FALL
AND EVEN IN THE BLACKEST NIGHT
HE’S THE LIGHT (HE’S THE LIGHT) THAT SAVES US ALL

AND IN HIS POWER HE DREW UP THE SKY
SEPARATED FROM EARTH, NOW WE CAN CHOOSE TO FLY
HE STIRRED UP THE WATER TO GIVE SPIRITUAL LIFE
POURING DOWN FROM ABOVE THROUGH HIS SON’S SACRIFICE

CHORUS

HE GATHERED THE WATERS AND RAISED UP DRY LAND
NOW THROUGH HIS RESURRECTION HIS CHILDREN WILL STAND
FOR ONLY JESUS CAN TAKE AWAY OUR SINS
WASHED BY HIS BLOOD THERE IS NO LIFE APART FROM HIM

CHORUS

WU-WHO WHO-WO-WAAH -WHO, HAAH
OO H-WAAH HE’S THE LIGHT, HE’S THE LIGHT, HE’S THE LIGHT

CHORUS

HE’S THE LIGHT, HE IS THE LIGHT THAT SAVES US ALL

THE EMULSIFIER (JESUS)

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. Now the earth was formless and empty, darkness was over the surface of the deep, and the Spirit of God was hovering over the waters.Gen 1:1,2

Jesus answered, “Very truly I tell you, no one can enter the kingdom of God unless they are born of water and the Spirit.  Jn 3:5

Born of: (1) water (This occurs in the amniotic sac of a mother: natural life)

The sea or the water described in Genesis 1:2 (the surface of the deep) is a picture of God’s judgment (Mt 18:6)  for fallen mankind.  “If anyone causes one of these little ones—those who believe in me—to stumble, it would be better for them to have a large millstone hung around their neck and to be drowned in the depths of the sea. In the physical realm, man starts life in the water of the amniotic sac whereas spiritually he begins life in judgment (Jn 3:36).  Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life, but whoever rejects the Son will not see life, for God’s wrath remains on themin the sea of water with the Holy Spirit hovering overhead (Gen 1:2).

Man desires his independency and rages against God (Isa 17:12).  Woe to the many nations that rage—they rage like the raging sea.  Woe to the peoples who roar—they roar like the roaring of great waters, in darkness (lacking God’s enlightenment Lk 1:79), formless and empty (living in chaos–no spiritual structure in his life Gal 4:19), and (without any meaning or purpose in life Ecc 1:2).

Natural man’s condition is like natural water whereas spiritual man is like supernatural water (Jn 4:13,14).  Jesus answered, “Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life.”

Born of: (2) Spirit. The Holy Spirit is symbolized by “oil”.   So Samuel took the horn of oil and anointed him in the presence of his brothers, and from that day on the Spirit of the Lord came powerfully upon David…1 Sa 16:13

But you have an anointing from the Holy One, and all of you know the truth… As for you, the anointing you received from him remains in you, and you do not need anyone to teach you. But as his anointing teaches you about all things and as that anointing is real, not counterfeit—just as it has taught you, remain in him.  1 Jn 2:20,27

Spirit/Oil Man must be born from above (born again) Jn 3:3   Jesus replied, “Very truly I tell you, no one can see the kingdom of God unless they are born again.  This new birth comes about by faith in the forgiving blood shed by Jesus Ro 3:25 . God presented Christ as a sacrifice of atonement, through the shedding of his blood—to be received by faith.

Natural Realm:

Soap molecules allow the water to cling to the dirt (oil) and thus cleanses our bodies.

add an Emulsifier (Jesus)

Spiritual Realm:

The Holy Spirit and man are separated because of sin (like water and oil do not mix). The Holy Spirit (like oil) is hovering over the water. Add the blood of Jesus, which can join forgiven man to a Holy God.
