SINGING WITH THE BIRDS
There’s no better time and way to connect with God than in the early morning out in nature. God has ordained His creation to worship Him from the flowers and trees raising their heads and branches high to the heavens, to the birds singing their praises all morning long to the Lord.
Why not keep in step with the rest of the universe and offer your gratitude to God each and every morning?
In our song, “Forever and Ever,” which was one of our earliest songs that we recorded, Julie sings why we should be grateful. “CHRIST LAID DOWN HIS LIFE,” an unbelievable salvation plan where our Savior would die for us sinners. There is no greater act in history than this loving demonstration and those that receive His gift will spend eternity with God.
IMAGINATION VS CREATIVITY
We were created in the image of God Gen 1:27. Imagination and creativity were two gifts given to man. What’s the difference between imagination and creativity?
Imagination is a picture or image born in the mind whereas creativity is the transfer of the idea from the mental into the physical realm. Imagination has no boundaries (I can imagine a 20 ft tall person), whereas creativity has barriers due to physical constraints (reality). How can I transfer the image of a 20 ft person into the physical world? One solution would be to use CGI (computer generated imagery). Through my creativity, I would have made this abstract image tangible to the world.
Let me use a Bible illustration.
God ordained (He imagined) that all creation would worship Him.
Praise him, sun and moon; praise him, all you shining stars.
Praise him, you highest heavens and you waters above the skies.
Let them praise the name of the Lord, for at his command they were created. Ps 148:3-5
How does God use creativity to transfer this into reality?
The heavens declare the glory of God; the skies proclaim the work of his hands.
2 Day after day they pour forth speech; night after night they reveal knowledge.
3 They have no speech, they use no words; no sound is heard from them.
4 Yet their voice goes out into all the earth, their words to the ends of the world.
Ps 19:1-4
If nature has no speech, how does it communicate to us?
v3 Their teaching is not addressed to the ear, and is not uttered in articulate sounds; it is pictorial, and directed to the eye and heart.
You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. Isa 55:12
How does God use His creativity to make this real?
The howling wind whistles on mountains like people singing––caused by the wind’s friction rubbing against tree tops. Trees sway their branches making them look like they are clapping their hands.
What other things in nature show their worship of God?
Birds praise God every morning with their singing.
Tang woke up early one morning to hear the birds singing through the patio screen window. Inspired by the birds praise, she penned these words.
