LORD YOU LOVED ME
SWEET LORD YOU LOVED ME
YES YOU LOVED ME ALL OF MY DAYS
OH LORD YOU LOVED ME
WHY I DON’T KNOW BUT YOU LOVED ME
YES YOU LOVED ME ALL OF MY DAYS
WHEN I WAS WALKING DOWN THE WRONG ROAD
WHEN I WAS CARRYING A HEAVY LOAD
WHEN I WAS FAR FROM YOUR SIDE AS I COULD BE
YOU NEVER ONCE FORGOT YOUR CHILD
YOU NEVER ONCE TURNED AWAY
OH LORD, YOU HELD ON TO ME
LORD YOU LOVED ME
SWEET LORD YOU LOVED ME
YES YOU LOVED ME ALL OF MY DAYS
LORD YOU LOVED ME
I DON’T KNOW WHY BUT YOU LOVED ME
YES YOU LOVED ME ALL OF MY DAYS
WHEN THE WORLD BOUGHT MY MIND
WHEN MY HEART WAS FAR FROM KIND
WHEN THERE WAS NOTHING GOOD AT ALL INSIDE OF ME
YOU STILL DREW ME TO YOUR SIDE
BOUGHT MY FREEDOM WITH A HEAVY PRICE
OH LORD I WAS PRECIOUS UNTO THEE
LORD YOU LOVED ME
SWEET LORD YOU LOVED ME
YES, YOU LOVED ME ALL OF MY DAYS
LORD YOU LOVED ME
DON’T KNOW WHY BUT YOU LOVED ME
YES YOU LOVED ME ALL OF MY DAYS
No one could have felt more alienated from God than Peter after he had denied Jesus three times (Lk 22:61,62) and had pledged that he would give his life for Jesus (Jn 13:37).
I’m sure when Peter met Jesus on the shore (after His resurrection) Jn 21:12, the last words he expected to hear from Jesus were “follow me” (Jn 21:19). Yes, God is merciful and gracious to give us second chances even when we least deserve it. This type of love is only found in God and it is amazing and indescribable.
