COMMENTARY
Many times the Spirit will comfort me, not with a miraculous miracle but with a gentle whisper 1 Ki 19:12, giving me relief, like a cool breeze Jn 3:8. I then rest in Him, enjoying His shade Jnh 4:6 from my worldly worries and anxieties. God’s Word is like soothing oil Lk 10:34, that heals all my emotional fears when my mind is focused on the temporal. |

I remind myself of God’s simple pleasures that I too often take for granted. Daily, I thank God for all I can see, hear, taste, touch and smell.
Like a snowflake, I am uniquely made Ps 139:14, for God’s service in good works, to complete Eph 2:10, before my body returns to the ground and I to Him 2 Co 5:8. |

YOUR GRACE MELTS MY HARDENED SOUL IT LIFTS ME UP WHEN I’M FEELING LOW AND YOUR PEACE CALMS THE TROUBLED SEA WHEN AN ANGRY STORM IS RAGING

God took my hardened, rebellious spirit and with the understanding of the Good News, melted my heart of stone, and gave me a gentle and yielding new heart Eze 36:26.
God continues to pour out His grace to me 2 Co 12:9 and lifts me up Col 3:2,3 whenever I find myself battling violent trials. |

One of the greatest pleasures God has ever given me was the opportunity to become a father. What a joy it was to look into my newborn baby’s room to catch a glimpse of her sleeping so peacefully. God is my heavenly Father and watches over me in the same way as I watched over my children Ps 4:8 . |

YOUR JOY IS LIKE THE SUN EACH DAY YOU LIGHT MY SKY AND DRIVE THE CLOUDS AWAY YOU GIVE ME HOPE FOR I TRUST IN YOU AND I KNOW THAT YOU ARE WITH ME ALWAYS |
No matter how bad are my circumstances, when I focus on God’s promises, I experience His joy. I remember that He is always with me Heb 13:5 and I can do all things through Him Php 4:13.

There are few more calming pleasures than being near the ocean and hearing the sound of the distant waves repeat their soothing rhythm bringing tranquility to my chaotic mind. Intimacy with Jesus does the same for my restless spirit Mt 11:28.
The ultimate pleasure is when the Holy Spirit pours down His love blessings after a hot and draining trial to refresh my spirit, desiring me to continue on to greater adventures Ps 23:2,3,4. The summer rain gives vitality to every living organism just as the Holy Spirit refreshes my soul when He pours His oil over me Ps 133:2. |
