The work and intelligence required to praise God every morning is very minimal yet being such a simple thing it is a very difficult proposition to fulfill. My self-centred nature prevents me from wanting to enter into worship with God. It takes discipline to form a godly habit and Satan will try his best to distract me in honouring God.

WHEN I RISE AND SEE THE SKY

BLUE OR CLOUDED GRAY
I WONDER AT THIS WORLD
YOUR GREAT LOVING HANDS HAVE MADE

AND WHEN I HEAR A NEWBORN CRY

I am going to have good days and bad, but when my mindset is on God’s creative greatness and unconditional love for me, I can change my gloominess to joy, despite any change in my circumstances.

I need to remind myself of the privilege that God has given me as a mother/father to participate in creating a human life and having the honour to shape and mold this young soul into a godly unique individual for God’s glory.

I forget to consider all the favor that God gives me daily. It is usually after losing these benefits that I realize how blessed I have been.

After breaking my glasses, I realized that my sight is a precious gift that God has given me.

Only after having cold showers in Uganda did I appreciate having a hot shower in Canada.

Not having sunlight for most of November in Sweden made me appreciate God’s gift of light.
