TRINITY COLORS

Day 2: How can something as simple as three colored flashlights help us understand the Trinity?

Today we’ll use a simple object we all know: flashlights, to see a beautiful picture of our Triune God. Imagine three flashlights:

Red representing the Son (1 Pe 1:19 – “the precious blood of Christ”)

Blue representing the Father (Mt 6:9 – “Our Father which art in heaven”)

Green representing the Holy Spirit (Jn 6:63 – “the Spirit gives life”)

When you shine all three lights on the same spot, something wonderful happens. The three distinct colors blend together and produce one bright white light. In the same way, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three distinct Persons, yet they are fully one God. They are not three separate gods. They share the same divine nature so completely that wherever one is, all three are present. The Bible confirms this truth again and again:

…Do I not fill heaven and earth? declares the LORD. Jer 23:24

Where shall I go from your Spirit? Or where shall I flee from your presence? Ps139:7

He who descended is the one who also ascended far above all the heavens, that he might fill all things. Eph 4:10

All three Persons, Father, Son, and Holy Spirit  are fully present everywhere at the same time. This shows they are not separate in being, but one God in three Persons.

If one flashlight was turned off (blue), the spot would produce a yellow light not white, confirming that all three persons are necessary to reveal the one true God.

Almighty and Magnificent God

Application: The Trinity is not just a difficult doctrine to understand. It is a beautiful reality that brings us great comfort. Because the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are three distinct Persons who are fully one God, and because all three are present everywhere, you are never alone. Wherever you go today, in joy or in difficulty, the whole Trinity is with you.

The Father who loves you, the Son who died for you, and the Holy Spirit who lives inside you are all there.

Simple Action Step:
Right now, take a quiet moment and whisper a short prayer: thanking each person of the Trinity for being with you right now. Let this truth bring you peace and joy today: the same God who fills heaven and earth also fills your life with His presence.
