SOME TIMES WE FORGET HOW TRULY BLESSED WE ARE
HE’S THE GOD WHO MADE THE UNIVERSE
EACH BRIGHT AND SHINING STAR
THE ALPHA AND OMEGA, THE BEGINNING AND THE END
BUT YOU CAN CALL HIM BROTHER, REDEEMER AND YOUR FRIEND
(CAUSE) HE LIVES IN YOU, IN ALL YOU SAY
AND ALL YOU DO, HE LIVES IN YOU
HE LIVES IN YOU, IN ALL YOU THINK
THE WHOLE DAY THROUGH, HE LIVES IN YOU
WE ALL FACE MOMENTS WHEN WE STUMBLE NOW AND THEN
BUT HE WILL PICK YOU UP AND HELP YOU START AGAIN
ALWAYS WITH A LOVING TOUCH AND WORDS TO SOOTHE THE SOUL
HE WILL TAKE A BROKEN MAN AND MAKE A FELLA WHOLE
CHORUS
SO EVERY DAY WHEN YOU GREET THE MORNING SUN
DON’T BE AFRAID YOU DON’T NEED TO RUN
HE’LL BE THERE WITH YOU, WHATEVER YOU GO THROUGH
AND IF YOU’LL LISTEN HE’LL SHARE THE TRUTH WITH YOU
CHORUS
REPEAT VERSE I
CHORUS 2X
AH HE LIVES IN YOU
Everything God created contains a spiritual truth, that we can discover if we search diligently. Take the turtle. It has a hard exterior, like stone, but inside it has tender flesh. God, through Ezekiel, wrote, “I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit in you; I will remove from you your heart of stone and give you a heart of flesh” Eze 36:26. The law was written on stone tablets (2 Co 3:7) but the grace of the New Covenant was written on flesh, our hearts (Heb 10:16).
The law was the tutor that taught us that no one could successfully fulfill it, except Jesus. Its purpose was to lead us to Christ (Gal 3:24,25). Too many people live their lives with an “Orphan Faith” (Jn 14:18), where they follow Jesus’ teachings and His life example, but fail to receive Christ as Lord. They are in control of their lives. However, Christians have died to themselves and have received an “Invasive Faith,” the Holy Spirit in us (Jn 14:17; 1 Co 6:19,20), where Christ dwells through His Spirit in our hearts (Col 1:27).
