THERE ARE THINGS THAT BELONG TOGETHER
LIKE SPRING RAIN AND FLOWERS THAT BLOOM
WHEN CHILDREN PLAY AND THE SOUND OF LAUGHTER
THEIR LITTLE SMILES THAT LIGHT UP THE ROOM
THERE ARE THINGS THAT BELONG TOGETHER
LIKE LONG SUMMER DAYS AND WALKS IN THE PARK
WHEN FAMILIES SING, AND THE JOY IT BRINGS
AND ALL THE MEMORIES YOU HOLD DEAR IN YOUR HEART
BUT THERE ARE THINGS THAT SHOULD NEVER GO TOGETHER
NO NEVER EVER, LIKE GOOD FRIENDS AND GOODBYES
THERE ARE THINGS THAT SHOULD NEVER GO TOGETHER
NO NEVER EVER, LIKE GOOD FRIENDS AND GOODBYES
THERE ARE TIMES THAT WE ‘VE SHARED TOGETHER
THROUGH STORMY WEATHER BUT WE HELD ON TIGHT
WE KEPT IN TIME TO LIFE’S GREAT DANCE
LIKE A GAME OF CHANCE NOW WE’VE THROWN THE DICE
CHORUS 1
IF THERE ARE MOMENTS WHEN YOU FEEL ABANDONED
HE IS WITH YOU, EVEN IN THE DARKEST NIGHT
SAYING COME, IF YOU’RE HEAVY BURDENED
I’LL LIFT IT FROM YOU AND MAKE IT MINE
OH CAN’T YOU HEAR THEM, ALL THE ANGELS SINGING,
ALL THE ANGELS SINGING TO THE HOLY ONE
OH CAN’T YOU HEAR THEM ALL THE ANGELS SINGING,
ALL THE ANGELS SINGING TO THE HOLY ONE
LET US HEAR THEM, ALL THE ANGELS SINGING
ALL THE ANGELS SINGING TO THE HOLY ONE
OH LET’S HEAR THEM, ALL THE ANGELS SINGING
ALL THE ANGELS SINGING TO THE HOLY ONE
The number two represents choice. There were two special trees in the Garden, one to give life (Tree of Life), and one that would produce death (Tree of the Knowledge of Good and Evil). The saved man has a new nature 2 Co 5:17, yet the residuals of the old nature still exists (living for self) and must be put to death daily Ro 6:11. If we choose to live through our senses we will live selfish lives, only trying to please these desires. However, if we choose to let Christ live through us, then our desires will be to please God and others rather than ourselves.
In Deuteronomy, God exhorts us to choose life which will result in blessings in our lives rather than death which brings curses and will have a major effect on our children’s lives also Dt 30:19.
The concept of two was to mirror the number one, thus a man and a woman getting married become one flesh, complimenting the two individuals, rather than dividing them. God has given us the freedom to make our own choices. We must be wise in making these decisions because they will bring blessings or curses upon our lives.
