Julia went to be with her Lord on June 17, 2016. She originally wrote this song for my cousin Ivan who tragically passed away in 1980. Later, she rewrote the lyrics to describe how she would feel if she lost me. This is now my grief that I experience daily, but one day I will be with Julia again because of Jesus Christ’s marvellous gift of eternal life.
I’LL BE WITH YOU AGAIN
THE OLD MOON KEEPS SHINING
AND THE NIGHT BIRDS THEY STILL CALL
IT DON’T SEEM TO MATTER
NOT TO THEM AT ALL
WHEN YOU LEFT HOW IT HURT ME
DON’T THINK I’LL EVER BE THE SAME
BUT THE ROSE IN MY GARDEN
NO SHE DON’T FEEL MY PAIN
YOU LOVED ME SO TENDERLY
NOW ALL I HAVE IS A MEMORY
BUT MY DARLING ONE DAY
I’LL BE WITH YOU AGAIN
THE CLOCK ON THE WALL
SLIDES THE MINUTES AWAY
AND THE SUN IT STILL SETS
AT THE END OF EVERY DAY
WELL MY TEARS THEY ARE ALL SHED NOW
THEY FELL JUST LIKE RAIN
AND I SIT BY THE FIRE
BUT NOTHING IN MY LIFE SEEMS THE SAME
CHORUS
THE OLD MOON KEEPS SHINING AND
THOSE NIGHT BIRDS THEY STILL CALL
AND I FIND MYSELF WISHING
THINGS WERE THE SAME
REMEMBER HOW WE LAUGHED
AND ALL THE LOVE WE SHARED
LORD I CAN’T HELP BUT KEEP DREAMING
THAT YOU WERE STILL HERE
CHORUS
YOU LOVE ME 2X
