After reading David’s psalms, I yearned to talk to God like he did, for my “God talks” were lacking depth and originality. Then, I had the thought, why not simulate writing psalms as David did? I discovered that my praise for the Lord now became genuine and refreshingly novel. If you have struggled in your intimacy with the Lord, why not write original psalms of worship to God. I called my prayers “Psalms 151+” because there are only 150 inspired Psalms. My prayers are based on God’s Word and personal feelings but are not inspired. So read them in that light and hopefully, I will have motivated you to write your own “Psalms 151+.”
